We invite you to join us in these endeavours, helping us sew threads of hope, empowerment, and resilience into the fabric of our community.

(1) Winter Blankets for the Resilient People of Gaza

  • The Concept

Rain has historically symbolized positivity, but for the impoverished families of Gaza, it poses a significant threat, endangering their health and lives, especially during the harsh winter months. The combination of the tightened siege, ongoing aggression, and a struggling economy has left many Palestinian citizens unable to meet basic living standards. This crisis is compounded by rising demands and limited resources, leading to severe poverty and harsh living conditions. Cold winter nights bring additional challenges, from water seepage into living spaces to the increased risk of seasonal flu outbreaks.

The Sabaya Embroidery Project addresses this pressing issue by producing winter blankets. This initiative supports women by providing them with sewing opportunities, offering them a source of income, and empowering them with valuable skills. These blankets are then distributed to impoverished individuals affected by the recent hostilities in Gaza. Moreover, we aim to sell Palestinian embroidery items and establish a sewing workshop to train women and children in various handicrafts.

  • Key Goals of the Initiative:
  1. Provide blankets for 100 families.
  2. Create employment opportunities for women to sew these blankets and support their families.

  • How You Can Make a Difference:

Support This Noble Initiative: Purchase any product from Sabaya Embroidery to empower women and enhance employment opportunities. With every purchase, 5% is donated to the initiative. Each winter blanket costs $20, and larger blankets cost $35.

Spread the Word: Share the mission and goals of the Sabaya Embroidery Project to raise awareness and attract more support. By telling others about the initiative, you can help create a larger impact.
